"True marriage love with its delights comes only from the Lord and is given to those who live according to His commandments." - Emanuel Swedenborg

New Church weddings are a celebration of the eternal nature of true love, as well as the sacred commitment of each spouse to the other and to God. In addition to performing the marriage ceremony, Pastor Pearse Frazier offers pre-marriage counseling to help you and your fiancé build a lasting marriage on a spiritual foundation.

Here are some key truths taught in the New Church:

  1. True married love between a man and woman can last to eternity.

  2. This love springs from mutual trust, friendship, and support.

  3. To grow in that love, partners should seek to serve God, spouse, and community.

Rev. Frazier is available as an officiant for weddings in the greater Pittsburgh area. Couples seeking a venue are invited to consider the Pittsburgh New Church. Built in 1929, this lovely stone church is located in the Point Breeze neighborhood.
