The Pittsburgh New Church School’s annual Harvest Festival is coming up on Saturday, November 7th at 5:00pm. Join us for a delicious pork roast dinner and bring a side dish, salad or fruit to share! Students will be making applesauce, fresh bread and apple & pumpkin pies, yum! After dinner, we clear away the tables and chairs and have an old-fashioned hoedown. Mrs. Glenn does the calling and everyone has fun squaredancing. It’s become a wonderful yearly tradition that celebrates the link between family and school.
Pittsburgh New Church Northeast Regional Youth Weekend
The Pittsburgh New Church will be hosting the Northeast Regional Youth Weekend October 23 - 25. If you know any teens that would like to join us for a wonderful weekend of camaraderie and learning about the Lord, please contact Burgandy Smith or Rev. Jared Buss.
Point Breeze Yard Sale
The Point Breeze neighborhood yard sale will be taking place on Saturday, September 19 from 9am - 3pm. The Pittsburgh New Church School will be having a bake sale, stop by and purchase some delicious baked goods. All funds go to help kids with dyslexia!
New Church Day Celebrations
Join us for these holiday themed events this weekend!
On Friday, June 19th at 6:30pm, we are having a dinner in the social hall followed by a presentation by Rev. Dan Calvo.
On Sunday, June 21 we will have a New Church Day themed worship service, after which the church will give gifts to the children in the community.
Park Cleanup Community Service Project
This Sunday, April 26 the new cleanup crew is going to be getting together to pick up trash in Mellon Park. Come out and join us! This is a great way to work together as a congregation, and a great way to introduce kids to charitable service.
The plan is to stay after church for lunch, and then work in the park from about 1 to about 3. We’ll provide gloves and trash bags for all of the volunteers.
